improving welfare through education

Event Crew Training was formed by a group of industry professionals who represent industry workforces, trade associations and safety professionals. Standards of initial training for people coming into the industry have historically been mixed around the country.

The founding group decided that the creation of a non profit entity with the sole purpose of developing accessible sector specific training would provide opportunities for the industry to come together and proceed in a unified way to raise standards.

Born during the COVID-19 pandemic, the timing of Event Crew Training could not be more pertinent, as the need for return to work training for new, and existing workers will be high during the recovery period.

The founding premise was to create the first wave of resources, and to use those courses to gain support and funding from industry stakeholders to expand the offering further.

Knowledge is power.
Information is liberating.
Education is the premise of progress.
